THE PROBLEM

A one man heating firm with 13 years on the tools, British Gas training and a perfect 5.0 on Google. His Wix site had a single page, and most of it was invisible: the services, the reviews, the FAQ and even the email address sat inside embedded widgets that search engines can't read. To Google, the page barely existed.

On top of that: a chat script loading on every visit that displayed nothing, a Call Now button that did nothing on a desktop, and platform fees quietly going out every year for the privilege.

The old heating website, shown with identifying details blurred: a single page with much of its content inside embedded widgets The new RJH Heating website: warm cream and gold design with Gas Safe badge, clear phone number and quote buttons

WHAT WE DID

We rebuilt it around the two things that win heating work: trust and a phone number. The brand comes from the flame in his logo, warm gold on cream, so the site feels like the man himself. Honest, tidy, no nonsense.

  • Real HTML Google can read. Every service, review and question now lives on the page itself, not in an embedded widget. The whole site is finally searchable.
  • A perfect 5.0, on show. His Google reviews moved out of a widget and onto a stage.
  • Gas Safe front and centre. The badge that matters in this trade, in the first screen with the guarantee beside it.
  • Contact that works everywhere. Call, WhatsApp or email, one tap each, on any device. No forms to look after.
  • A headline that sells. "Boiler repairs, servicing and installations, sorted" says what he does before a visitor scrolls an inch.
  • One fast static page. No platform, no plugins, no subscriptions. Nothing to renew and nothing to break.

AFTER

THE RESULT

A site as tidy as his workmanship. Everything Google needs to find him, everything a customer needs to trust him, and the number one tap away. Built once, owned outright, nothing to maintain.

This engineer didn't commission us, so the work is shown anonymised. The business name, the village, the phone number, the customer reviews and the photographs in the rebuild are all fictional stand-ins, and the before shots have identifying details blurred. The design, structure and layout are exactly what we built.
