IRONING
THE PROBLEM
An ironing service in Milton Keynes that collects from the door and brings it back within 48 hours. The Wix site had four pages but no main heading for Google to read, and the phone number was plain text rather than something a phone can dial.
The social icons pointed at Wix's own Facebook and Twitter pages instead of the business's own, and on a phone the Wix chat bubble sat over the text.
WHAT WE DID
The brand is the logo: ink black and the green of the hanger, with the hanger itself settling into place at the top of the page.
- A bag price estimator. Weight, number of shirts and turnaround in, an estimate out, before anyone has to ask.
- Prices by the kilo, as a table. Each turnaround priced per kilo, with the minimums spelled out.
- Three steps, basket to hanger. Collection, ironing and delivery, in the order they happen.
- Tap to call, tap to WhatsApp. The number works as a number on every phone.
- The right links. The real De-Crease Facebook page, where the icons used to point at Wix.
- Eight fast pages. No platform fees, no chat widget and nothing to renew.
THE RESULT
A customer can work out roughly what a bag will cost and book a collection from their phone in a minute. The prices, the service area and the wording came from the old site.
De-Crease Ironing Service didn't commission this, so it's shown as a concept: a design we built unprompted to show what their site could be, using their own wording and photographs.
